What states is SLC licensed to engineer in?

California (since 2010), Oregon (2023), Nevada (2025), and Washington (2026). SLC holds an active Professional Engineer license in each state and serves as Engineer of Record on every project.

Does SLC have a minimum project size?

No fixed minimum. SLC engages on projects from single Level 3 charger installations up through multi-megawatt heavy-duty fleet depots and utility distribution upgrades supporting $350M+ in cumulative site construction value.

What utilities does SLC coordinate with?

PG&E (with QAD authorization for Rule 15, Rule 16, and Rule 29 service applications), Pacific Power, NV Energy, Puget Sound Energy, plus municipal utilities and federal installations across the four licensed states.

Can SLC handle out-of-state projects?

Yes, anywhere within California, Oregon, Nevada, or Washington. SLC is the licensed Engineer of Record in each state. For projects outside these four states, the engagement may be structured as a consulting or expert-witness role rather than Engineer of Record.

As a Qualified Applicant Designer, SLC's drawings and calculations go straight to PG&E review without an extra round of utility back-and-forth. The PG&E coordination time that typically front-loads a service application is compressed because the design package is already in the format PG&E expects.
